There are a variety of resources in related digital fabrication industries. We can help you determine which combination of technologies are best for your project.

  Rapid Prototyping

Also known as 3D printing, this technology transforms 3D models into physical objects. It is typically used for the reproduction of objects at smaller sizes or for the prototyping of original digital designs. There are many types of 3D printing methods such as Selective Laser Sintering, Fused Deposition Modeling, Stereolithography ... the list goes on. The choice is based mainly on materials, cost, and speed.
Laser and Waterjet Cutting

For two dimensional CNC projects, laser cutters and waterjet cutters may be the best choice. Laser cutters use a high power laser beam to cut material. They are best used on wood, plastics, and some metals. Waterjet cutters shoot a combination of water and an abrasive like sand to essentially erode the material. This is the best choice for thicker materials and metals. The main advantage is that unlike a laser, it doesn't heat up and potentially cause chemical changes to the material.
