Maquettes from ?, Nano Lopez, Peter Schifrin
To make scanning go as smoothly as possible there are a few things you can do to help. Most importantly, we prefer to work with a cast of your maquette which we can break apart and paint in the process of scanning. Resin or plaster casts are ideal. Wax is great. Bronze originals are not ideal, but we can work with them. And original clay maquettes are the most difficult, not only because original and often delicate, but clay tends to move and change shape in the process which makes scanning very tricky.

Also, we can deal with a range of sizes of maquettes from tiny figures to building facades. But for most applications, and to suit our in-house scanners, we prefer maquettes that fit inside of a cylinder ranging from 6" to 48" tall and 2" to 18" in diameter.
